I have so many photos about this resort I decided to make two pages for it. This page is about the resort and the family aspects of the resort. The other page is about the adults only parts of the resort.

When pulling up to the resort one of the first things you notice is that the resort has a little pirate ship and a little castle. These are the water park features of the kids club. This gives you just a hint of what is in store for kids at this resort. Their kids club is one of the most extensive that I have seen. It is divided up into three parts based on age. The water park which is adjacent to the kids club is divided up based on height. Near the kids club is a kid's only restaurant that is open for lunch and only serves kids with a kid friendly menu. No adults allowed at these tables. During the afternoon the kids are taken into the theatre where a movie screen is pulled down so the kids can watch Disney and Pixar movies. At night time the theatre is open for the nightly entertainment. Later in the evening the movie screen comes down for the adults with PG-13 ad R rated moves.

This resort boasts 10 different restaurants. Their buffet has 12 different cooking stations from salads, Italian, Mexican, Oriental, Grill, drinks, deserts and so much more. Most of the restaurants are located on the ground floor. As you walk past the lobby you will go by bar after bar after restaurant. At the end is the buffet. As you walk past the buffet out the doors you find the pool side grill cooking up burgers and hot dogs for people sitting by the three tier infinity pool and swim up bar. Going past the pool is the beach with the beautiful waters that Cancun is famous for.

Back in the main resort area with all the bars and restaurants you can look up and see all 12 floors. Kids are only allowed in deluxe rooms and family rooms. All of these have ocean views and are located on the sides of the resort. The rooms are angled so that a better view can be had from each room. The fact is that the resort opened in 2006 but really wasn't competed till early March of 2007. You can see the newness of this resort in everything you look at whether it be the modern decor of the rooms to lively decor of the restaurants.

The family rooms are the big draw of this resort. Not many resorts allow a family of 5 to occupy one room. This is the norm here. The family rooms have either a king bed or 2 double beds. There is a little wall separating the bunk beds (sleep 3) from the other beds to give the adults a little bit of privacy. The deluxe rooms are pretty much the same except for the lack of bunk beds.

This is my favorite family resort in the hotel zone because it has the complete family vacation in one place. At very few resorts can each family member go and do their own thing meet up for dinner and argue over who had the most fun. Of course you can have fun as a family here but if mom wants a day at the spa, dad wants to play volleyball and the kids want to play on the slides then that is perfectly ok and you can enjoy yourself knowing that your kids are not far, they are being look after and they are having fun.

Reasons to book this resort: You have a family of 5 and want to have an affordable vacation where you all can stay in one room and have lots of activities to choose from. You want to want to be in a location that is close to shopping and nightlife. You are traveling with your kids and grandkids, want to spend time with them but also want a room with added amenities and adults only areas.

Reasons not to book this resort: You are not traveling with kids and looking for a place that is more upscale, romantic and adults only. You do not care much for the shopping and night life of Cancun and would rather not be around it.
