This is my favorite all ages resort in the Hotel Zone of Cancun. I like it so much because of its location, it is a very classy resort, and it is a great value. IF you are looking at this page you have probably already looked at the other Riu Resorts in the hotel and decided you would like to take your vacation up another step. If that is the case please read on.

One of the things I like about this resort is the location. It is located on Punta Cancun where the hotel zone makes a 90 degree turn. Across the street is a shopping center where you can do all your arts, crafts and souvenir shopping. A five minute walk south and you are at the convention center and the bulk of the Cancun night life. When leaving a night club at 3 or 4 in the morning taxis can be over priced. The Nike Express (walking) is never overpriced. Five minutes west you will find some upscale shopping. When looking out your ocean view room you will see the island of Isla Mujeres which is where I go to the beach.

This resort is pure class from the moment you walk in the front door. The first thing every one notices is the infinity pool which is directly out the other side of the lobby. This pool is the coolest infinity pool I have ever seen. Is has angelic statues on both sides, it has a swim up bar and plenty of room for you to swim around. The next thing you will notice is the huge chandelier above you, the marble floor below you and then the décor of the walls. My impression of this resort is that it resembles a 15th century French palace. All rooms are ocean view junior suites unless you upgrade to a suite or a Jacuzzi suite. What makes a junior suite a junior suite is the separate living room area. As with all Riu Palace Resorts you have an upgraded liquor dispenser above your mini bar.

Riu Resorts are a great value no matter where you go. Riu Palaces are a step above the other Riu resorts. What makes them a great value is what you get for your money. There are other resorts that cost more and do not offer as much. At a Riu you get a mini bar, a liquor dispenser, a good number of quality restaurants, and enough bars to satisfy everyone. With this resort you have a great ocean view that will include 5 or more shades of blue that the Caribbean offers Cancun.

Reasons to book this resort: You are looking for an upscale fun resort in the Cancun Hotel Zone. You want to be centrally located to shopping and nightlife without having to take the bus or a cab.

Reasons not to book this resort You are looking for an adults only all inclusive resort. You are going to book one of the other Riu Resorts in the Hotel Zone or the Riviera Maya.
