This is a great resort for families. They have a number of room types that range from 1 bedroom to 3 bedrooms. All their rooms feature a fully equipped kitchen. The more rooms you have to your suite the bigger the kitchen and dining room. The theme of the resort is of the Maya culture which is odd because the Mayans were not in Puerto Vallarta. However it still makes it interesting. They have bars, pools and restaurants named after different Mayan cities and the architecture is based on Mayan designs and artwork. The pools ar this resort are very nice. One of them features a couple of slides that you kids are sure to love.

For sport lovers this is the place to be. There is a golf course close by and also a marina. At the marina you can rent every type boat you can think of ranging from $400 to $4,000 for the half day. There are also your normal tennis courts and gym that every resort has. One thing this place has that is a small zoo including three tigers.

When you book this resort you can stay on the all-inclusive plan on the European Plan. For those that do not know what the European plan is it is where you have to pay for all your meals, drinks and tips as you go. For those that choose to go EP there is the Paradise Village Shopping center across the street where you can stock up your kitchen for the duration of your stay.

One thing to be aware of at this place is 70% of their rooms are designated time share. So time share is the bulk of their business. They will try to sell you a time share. I advise against it as time shares are scams. They will offer you a package for $20k but they could sell it for $15k. This is true with all time shares. The way they differ is on when you can use them. Some you are locked into the same week every year weather you can go or you cant go. On top of that you have yearly maintenance fees and booking fees that go up every year. Trust me I have friends that sell times shares in Cancun for a living and they all tell me it is a scam. My advice is if you decide to book this resort tell them that you stock shelves at Walmart so they will leave you alone.

Reasons to book this resort: You are looking for a resort that is fun for the whole family. You are looking for a resort that is close to shopping. You are looking for a resort that is close to a golf course. You are looking to hire a boat and crew more than once while on vacation.

Reasons why you would not book this resort: You are looking for an adults only resort. You are looking for a resort that does not have as much going on. You are looking to avoid time share sales people.
