Those of you who are familiar with my site know that when I make two pages for a resort it is because I was able to take so many good photos of the resort that I wanted to share them all with you. Well for Azul Sensatori I had to make three pages. That should be a good measuring stick on how much I like this resort. You will find the same text on each of the pages but I have divided each page up into albums. I have and page for the kids/baby/teen clubs, the resort grounds, and another for the rooms. Please visit all three pages as I am sure you will enjoy the photos I took of this resort.

Azul Sensatori is part of Karisma Hotels which is known for being Gourmet Inclusive. Azul Resorts are making a name for themselves in 2008 by opening their second and third resort with the Gourmet Inclusive concept but being different from the El Dorado Brand by being a family brand with an appeal to those looking for an adults only resort. If you are thinking about this resort you have to visit there other pages I have made for the other two Azul Resorts (Azul Fives coming soon). They are very different from each other and by liking one you may not like the other. So it is very important to read up and see which one is right for you.

I have been to a lot of family resorts over the years and seen a lot of them that really impress me. This resort is proof that the bar is constantly being raised. Azul Resorts has a partnership with Fisher Price and My Gym Experience. Everyone knows who Fisher Price is. As part of the kids club there is a room full of Fisher Price toys that you can sign for and take back to your room. This is the first time I have seen a toy lending program. Upon entering the indoor section of the kids club and going past the desk you are in a large oval shaped room where a My Gym Experience is located. The floors are cushioned. There is a miniature rock climbing wall, a balance beam, a small trampoline, and a couple of other things good for keeping the kids active and safe. Additional rooms along the edges of the oval are a girls play room, a game room, a video game room, a nap room, a break room and a theatre. The girls play room has dolls, doll houses, and toy kitchens. The game room has fosse ball, air hockey, and pool for small children. The video game room has Playstation 3, X-box 360, and Nintendo Wii. The nap room has three beds. The break room is for drinks and light snacks. The theatre has stadium seating with a stage and movie projector. Outside of this facility is the kids pool with fountains, stationary water guns, water basketball and a small water slide. In the spa there is a spa treatment room for kids as well. On the beach there is a small playground so kids can be entertained while on the beach.

This resort has the best teen club I have seen. They have an arcade, a disco and game/internet room. This is all located near the kids club and all of these are next to each other. In the arcade you will find full size arcade games. They include a two player driving game, a two player motorcycle game, a two player dance game, a pool table, an air hockey table, a fosse ball table and a basketball game. The disco has a pool table, TVs, a non alcoholic bar, and a DJ booth. During the day teens can go by there and learn how to mix music and be the DJ at night. Next to that is the video game/internet room. They have Playstation 3, X-box 360, Nintendo Wii and a couple of computers. This room comes with an additional charge of $5 for every 30 minutes. I do not fully agree with charging for these services but I can understand that they only have so many computers and so many video game consoles that the charge will lower the demand and get the teens on to other activities rather than playing games and surfing the net their entire vacation.

All rooms at this resort have a Jacuzzi and are all junior suites or better. There are three different base room types. They are adult only, family, premium/luxury. The adult only room block has its own pool featuring beds in the pool. It also has its own swim up bar and restaurant. I will talk more about this restaurant later. The family rooms are more like a one bedroom suite. They come with two LCD or plasma TVs. One is in the living room which has a pull out sofa that can sleep 3 kids. The other is in the bedroom which is divided by a sliding door and also has the Jacuzzi and a queen bed. These rooms come with the optional baby amenities which include a stroller, a play pin, bottle warmer, bottle sanitizer, changing table, baby monitor and baby bath robe. Being a father to a 6 month old at the time of writing this I was very impressed with these amenities because that makes packing a whole lot easier. Also dont forget that you can check out toys from Fisher Price at the kids club and take them back to your room. When booking two family jacuzzi junior suites they can be guaranteed at time of booking ot be connecting. The premium/luxury rooms are the same room but different amenities. The luxury rooms come with a special check in, check out, aroma therapy, a soap menu (I have never seen this before but the soaps they have are very nice), fruit basket, bottle of sparkling wine, and in room flower arrangement.

To narrow things down a bit there are upgrades to ocean view room and swim up rooms. The swim up rooms come with a heated jacuzzi in the pool at the ledge of your patio. You need to check out my photo of this to really get an idea of what I am talking about. They also have one bedroom and two bedroom presidential suites. You enter the room and it is the same size as a junior suite except it has a small kitchen, a dining room table and a living room. There is a kitchen because for every 4 nights you are there a chef will come and cook dinner in your room. Attached to this room is a honeymoon suite. If you book the two bedroom suite you also get a luxury jacuzzi junior suite with two queen beds.

All Karisma Resorts are Gourmet All-Inclusive. The concept of Gourmet All Inclusive extends way beyond food. It starts with a welcome champagne glass and a cold towel upon arrival to the resort. Then it continues to personalized check in. Karisma Resorts boast one concierge for every 35 rooms and 2.3 employees for every guest while the average all inclusive has 0.8 employees per guest. This concept is noticed in your room which has modern luxury décor with turn down service and 24 hour room service. All dining is a la carte. Restaurants and bars are never duplicated. Each resort has an Italian restaurant but each resort offers a different menu, ambiance, and name. Karisma only uses premium tableware and the best authentic ingredients. For example everything except for vegetables and meat in an Italian Restaurant come from Italy. All beef served at Karisma Resorts is USDA Certified Angus Beef. All sauces, breads, and pastries are made in house. Karisma even has their own fisherman to insure that everything is as fresh as possible. All plates are presented as if you had a famous chef from the Food Network cooking for you. All menus offer healthy options such as South Beach Diet, low carb, no sugar, and vegetarian. If you have any special dietary needs Karisma can accommodate. If you enjoy a glass of wine with your meal you will be impressed with their house wine. It is bottled and imported especially for Karisma Resorts from Argentina. The family that bottles the wine had to visit the resorts before he would sign the contract because he wanted to see where his wine would be served and who it was being served too so that he could create the perfect blend for Karisma. You will not find this wine in any store or at any other resort other than a Karisma Resort. Each restaurant has an extensive wine list for those who want a bit of an upgrade at a reasonable price. If you are not sure which bottle to order, the in house sommelier will be able to help you with your selection based upon your taste and what you are ordering for dinner. Gourmet All-Inclusive is found in the way the restaurants are run. They uphold the highest standards in hygiene and cleanliness. Each employee from the chef to the bus buy has to be certified for each restaurant before starting work there. This way you know that each employee is up holding the standards of Karisma and knows the answers to your questions pertaining to their menu.

This resort has two unique restaurants. They are even unique to Karisma hotels. The first one is Tapaz. This restaurant features Spanish Tapas. It does not have a menu. The chef will come to your table and ask what type of ingredients you do not like and then he will go and make everything for you. This restaurant features a rotating serving circle in the middle of the table where all the food will be placed. This way you simply rotate the middle of the table until you get to the dish you want next. The second unique restaurant is Le Chique. This restaurant does not have a menu either and is adults only. It features a Michelin Rated Chef who will serve you a 12 to 16 course meal that will take 2.5 to 3 hours to eat. The menu changes seasonally. The one year goal of this restaurant is to become Mexicos first Michelin rated restaurant. So with these two restaurants you can see that they are taking Gourmet All-Inclusive to a new level.

Reasons why you would not book this resort: You are looking for a resort that is 100% adults only. You are planning on staying at one of the other Azul Resorts.
