This is the flag ship resort of all the Secrets resorts. It is also their smallest. Since it has been around the longest it has had time to earn the 4 Diamond Award. All rooms at this resort are in the preferred club. This means higher than normal concierge service, top shelf liquors at every bar, upgraded mini bar and the Preferred Club Lounge.

This resort has deluxe rooms and junior suites. The difference between them is that the junior suite is bigger. Instead of just having a small

table for two it also has a couch and a bigger balcony. The bigger balcony has two pool/beach chairs as well as a table and two regular chairs.

Since last time I saw this resort it has changed a lot. In the past 2 years they have moved their spa to a separate facility. The old spa was down stairs from the lobby and down a hallway. Now you have to take a ride on a golf cart for 5 minutes to get there. The new facility is much better than the old one. Where the spa was, is now a sports bar/ night club/ lounge. In this area you have a bunch of tables with couches, a wrap around bar, 2 pool tables, and a bunch of LCD or Plasma TV’s. This is the place to be for sporting events. Another change is they have expanded the Cactus Club Taco and Ceviche Bar. This is a restaurant that has more than one menu. It serves tacos, ceviche and other Mexican items but also serves some traditional American items as well.

The atmosphere of this resort is pretty laid back even though the resort is pretty small in the amount of area it takes up. You will find that most of the people at this resort are in the late 30’s to early 40’s. I would say this is the most laid back of all the Secrets Resorts but also the closets to Playa del Carmen.

Reasons to book this resort: You want an adults only resort. You do not want a small boutique resort but you do not what one that is big either. You are looking for a resort that is close to shopping and night life but not in the middle of it all.

Reasons not to book this resort: You are planning a vacation with kids. You are looking to be within walking distance of shopping and night life. You are looking to book one of the other Secrets resorts.
