I saw three of the 5 resorts in the complex at the same time. All of these resorts will have the same review on each of their pages. The three I saw were the Bavaro, Esmerelda and Ambar. The Bavaro and the Punta Cana are the same. They are far bigger than the other three resorts. The Premier is the only resort in this complex that is not on the beach so I opted not to see it as it would not appeal to my clients. The other four resorts I have to say strongly appeal to my clients. The Punta Cana and Bavaro are almost too big. There is a trolley that takes guests up and down the resort. I think if you were to walk from lobby to beach it would be about 20 minutes. Almost all the rooms are garden view in the entire complex. The pools are huge and are big enough to accommodate all the guests of the resort. I can say this with confidence because while I was at the resort the entire complex was full. Truthfully I thought the place looked empty. It wasn’t till I got the beach that I found out where everyone was. That place was packed. However there were plenty of lawn chairs and palapas (grass roofed umbrellas) for more people. The beach at this resort rivals the best beaches I have seen anywhere.

The reasons why you pick one resort over another are in their differences. Why you would book the Punta Cana over the Bavaro I have no clue. The rooms are the same. They share the same facilities. Your room can be just as close or just as far from the beach. They are the same.

With the Esmerelda you get a nicer room, 4 more restaurants (1 is adults only and located at the Amber). The Amber you get the same added restaurants, a nicer room and it is adults only. Both are really close to the beach. You are looking at a 5 minute walk at most. At both resorts you also get 24 hour room service, internet, and butler service. I think that both of these resorts are worth the extra money they cost to upgrade from the Punta Cana and Bavaro. If you are looking to save money and get a good value the Punta Cana and the Bavaro are great as well.

These resorts do have share privileges with each other. The Bavaro and Punta Cana obviously share with each other. They also share with the Premier. If you book a week you get 3 dinner reservations. When you stay at the Amber or Esmerelda you get run of the entire complex and unlimited dinner reservations.

While in Punta Cana the resort I stayed was a bit boring for my personal taste. I like action and a lot of it. I sit at a desk for a living. On vacation I want to be active. On three different occasions I walked from my resort to this complex to hang out on the beach. It was about a 30 minute walk each way. While hanging out here I met a lot of people and had a lot of fun. I played maybe 14 hours of volleyball. The sand was soft enough to dive all day long and not worry about hurting yourself. I and a couple of other people had to run to the water to get sand out of our mouths. I have been to other beaches where I was scared to dive as I might cut myself on a shell or something. One day they did beach aerobics. When they did there was an army of 50 or women on the beach and another 20 or so in the water. You could hear the music throughout the beach. The energy that came off of that was amazing. It was downright intoxicating. I wish I could feel positive energy like that every day of my life. The day I saw that I had brought two people from my resort to hang out with me and they thought man I like this. They had book our resort because it was laid back and relaxing but they saw the value in having the option. There were more people just hanging out than taking part in activities but there were always enough people taking part in activities to keep them going all day. At one point we had some many people playing volley ball we had to have 3 teams of 6 rotating in and out. This resort complex is truly a special place and worth every penny you pay for the resort you choose.

Reasons why you book this complex: You are looking for a resort when you can relax all day or be active all day. You are looking for a complex that has it all from budget resorts with a great value to upscale resorts and adults only.

Reasons why you do not book this complex: You are looking for a resort that is 100% adults only.
